Unsere Kinder

The children and teenagers in our program are looking forward to introducing themselves to you. They are very grateful for the opportunity you are giving them with your donation.

The number of children and young people varies depending on the situation of the families, school performance, donations and other factors. However, we always strive to keep the selected children in the program for the long term and thus give them the opportunity to receive a higher education.

Gabriella

Hello, my name is Gabriella, I'm 10 years old and I was born on August 16, 2013. I'm the middle sister (the eldest is called Rafaella Rosa and the youngest is called Isabella). I was born and live in Cachoeiras de Macacu, but I study in Nova Friburgo (both located in the state of Rio de Janeiro). I'm in the 5th grade of elementary school and my favorite subjects are: English, art and music, but I don't like Portuguese, math and geography very much. I can speak Portuguese, English and I'm learning German on Duolingo. My favorite sports are swimming and volleyball, but I don't like soccer or basketball very much. I love listening to and singing songs in English, but what I really like to do is play games on my cell phone and read books. When I grow up, I want to be an astronomer (because I like studying planets and comets) or a psychologist (because I like helping and giving advice to people). My favorite food is stroganoff and I don't like eating beans. My favorite drink is strawberry vitamin and I don't like passion fruit juice very much. My favorite fruit is strawberries, but I don't like pineapple. My favorite books (and movies) are: Harry Potter, Kiki's Delivery Service, Coraline, Matilda and Mafalda (the comic strips, since she doesn't have a movie). My favorite series is Hello Kitty & friends. I have 5 dogs: Bella, Fantasma, Lady-Sansa, Nimerya (Siberian Huskys) and Ivy (Lhasa Apso) born in that order respectively. I want to visit the United States, Germany and Finland, as I love getting to know new places, people, cultures and languages. I'm still very young, but I already have a lot of dreams to fulfill, because as Matilda would say in the musical made by Netflix, "Know that size doesn't matter"!

Murilo

I'm 19 years old, I was born and raised in Barra, but I actually live in Jacarepagua, Rio de Janeiro. I recently graduated from high school, and I'm currently pursuing my Brazilian army Sargent training. I enjoy learning about geopolitics, history, and the economy (but I'm mostly interested in Norse mythology).
I typically play video games with my pals and watch television in my free time. In addition, I enjoy working out and playing soccer (football). Love novels like "Reflections on Revolution in France" and "The Wealth of Nations" Finally, I would like to express my gratitude for everything you have done and continue to do for the benefit of all of us. We will always remember it.

Ana Íllona

Hello, my name is Ana Íllona, I'm 19 years old and today I live alone in the Tabajaras community, which is located in Copacabana. I'm a very outgoing girl, and I'm passionate about physical exercise. I was a federated athlete in water polo for the Botafogo club, a soccer team in Rio de Janeiro, and I was also a rugby player, a sport that many people are afraid of but I find very peaceful and enjoyable. I finished high school and nowadays I work in a shopping mall as a sales assistant, but my dream is to go to a public law school and fulfill my dream of becoming a police officer. I have a very large family spread all over the world, and I really want to get to know the country where my father came from and where I inherited this very different and complicated name. My name is Hungarian, and I have European citizenship because of my father and grandparents. Talking a bit about my family, I had Hungarian grandparents, but unfortunately they passed away, but they left a very strong and beautiful legacy in the family, they were in World War II, and they were doctors and Jews, they suffered a lot but they took care of many people, and this was passed on to everyone in the family, and today I have the dream of being a police officer and protecting everyone within my reach. Anyway, that was a bit of my life that I decided to share with you, a kiss and see you next time.

Matheus

My name is Matheus Carvalho, I've been living in the community of Rio das pedras for 3 years and I really like it there because I've gotten used to the place where I live and I already know a lot of people there. The sport I play is volleyball and I've been playing for 1 and a half years, I'm already on a team in Jacarepaguá near my house. Because I like the sport I play so much, I intend to play volleyball for a university abroad, studying sports physiotherapy, which I really like. In my spare time I really enjoy training and doing a bit of yoga which makes me relax a lot and leave my problems aside. One of the things I also love doing in my spare time is listening to gospel music, reading a book or doing something. When I can go out, the places I most like to go to are the beach and places where volleyball matches take place, where I can be with my friends and have fun with them playing volleyball. One of the reasons I love volleyball is because through it I've been able to meet incredible people and lots of friends, and through it I can relax and have fun at the same time. At weekends I usually go to church on Saturdays and watch Professor Jorge's English classes and on Sundays I usually go to church with my friends and my mother. And that's a bit about me and my day-to-day life.

The pictures and texts of our other children will follow soon. So stay tuned!
